The retiree Chen San Yuan from Taiwan can’t help it. Known as Pokémon GO Grandpa, he plays with many phones simultaneously. Now he has expanded his arsenal.
Who is it about? As a Pokémon player, you have certainly heard of this crazy retiree. He became famous about a year ago for playing Pokémon GO with 11 phones simultaneously and has developed into a kind of Pokémon cyborg because of it.
Yuan has always expanded his arsenal of phones and has also built other equipment for it. From 11 phones, he went to 15, then to 21, and then 23 phones. Now he continues to upgrade and plays with 45 phones simultaneously.
On the bike with 45 phones
This is how the retiree plays: Holding 45 phones simultaneously is logically quite exhausting. That’s why he built a holder for his bike. He keeps expanding it, so now 45 phones are attached.
With that, he rides through Taiwan and actively catches Pokémon. The view ahead is somewhat limited, but so far everything has been accident-free.
Yuan doesn’t need teammates. He can easily handle raids alone and even has to open multiple lobbies, as this is the only way to accommodate all his accounts.
Yuan is popular: In Taiwan, almost every player knows the Grandpa and his numerous smartphones. In various pictures of him, you can see a huge crowd around him. Everyone wants to take a photo with the retiree and his setup.
But sponsors also approached the Grandpa. So, he is currently sponsored by a smartphone manufacturer and receives his new phones for free. He has also made an appearance at his sponsor’s and showcased the latest model of the smartphone on his bike.
