A couple set out on a journey to the mountains to celebrate their wedding. But on the very day of the ceremony, a certain event in Pokémon GO took place, which created a very special memory.

The player reports that his wife allowed him and his friends to take part in a raid in Pokémon GO. Whether it was because of the special location or the equally special day is not clear, but he was gifted with a lot of luck. In the one raid he was allowed to start that day, he was rewarded with a Shiny Camerupt.

The wedding took place on a specific date: The couple’s wedding was on September 28, 2025, which was on the raid day with Mega-Camerupt, which was the first opportunity to obtain the Mega variant in Pokémon GO.
Since the event was only available for a limited time, the groom had little room to participate in one of the event raids himself. He was even luckier that he managed to catch a Shiny variant of Camerupt on his first (and only) attempt – a worthy wedding gift, as other players noted: “Congratulations on your cool wife and your new Shiny!
