The special League skins from Overwatch can soon be earned in a new way. We explain how you can get the skins without spending money.
Since the start of the Overwatch League, there have been numerous new skins in Blizzard’s hero shooter. The special skins represent the different teams competing in the league. Unlike other cosmetic items in Overwatch, these skins cannot be obtained from loot boxes but can only be purchased with real money, as part of the money goes directly to the teams.
However, soon there will be a way to obtain the skins completely without spending money – at least if you have enough time and endurance. The Overwatch League apparently wants to encourage more players to take an interest in the matches. In the future on Twitch, you will receive an Overwatch token for watching a League match. These are the same tokens that players could otherwise purchase directly for money.
There are at least 12 games per night, so if you keep Twitch running in the background, you need just over a week to secure a skin for the League.
Additionally, there is an extra chance at each final match. A percentage of all viewers will be granted a bonus of 100 Overwatch tokens, which is distributed randomly.
For this to work, it is necessary to link the Twitch account with the Battle.net account. This can be easily done in the Twitch settings. Only then can the tokens be credited to the corresponding Overwatch account.
