Nintendo has recently released a new update. After the update, the Switch firmware should now be at version 18.0.0. Despite the version number, the update does not bring much, and the improvements are limited.
New language and a new sleep mode for the Switch
What changes are there? The most important new feature is an additional option for the sleep mode settings, which relates to the automatic sleep mode when playing on the television. You can find the official patch notes right below (via mynintendonews.com):

- “15 minutes” has been added as an option for “Automatic Sleep Mode when Playing on the Television” in the sleep mode settings.
- Korean has been added as a supported language for the “Nintendo Switch Parental Controls” introduction video.
- General improvements to system stability to enhance the user experience.
Were there any other changes? No, aside from the three mentioned points, there were no significant changes in the Nintendo Switch.
How do I start the update? Go to system settings and select the “Console” option. Here, select “System Update” to begin the update process. Your console will now check for a new system update. If a new system update is available, it will be downloaded automatically. Finally, your console will restart.
