The Hellfire Trial in Hearthstone is now live, and you can play the solo adventure. There are currently 17 of the funniest missions awaiting you.
A new adventure is now live in Hearthstone that everyone can play. You can easily select “The Hellfire Trial” in the main menu under “Solo Adventures” and dive right in, provided you have already unlocked the Demon Hunter. Otherwise, you’ll need to complete the prologue first, which can be finished quickly.
What is the adventure about? The adventure is linear and tells the story of Aranna Starseeker. She is the sister of Elise Starseeker, whom you may know from the Explorers’ League. In the shadow of her sister, Aranna tries to make a difference and has traveled to the shattered world to explore new things. However, she quickly encounters many characters in danger and the enemies of the mysterious “Rust Legion”. We witness her transformation from a researcher to a Demon Hunter.
What makes the adventure special? Not only are the battles creatively designed, but so is the story surrounding them. This time, it’s even funnier than usual because the narrator (Illidan) and most characters speak almost always in rhymes. Despite this rather humorous narrative style, the story is a straightforward plot that is definitely worth playing and includes many references to World of Warcraft.
However, Aranna doesn’t have as much luck as a warlock with their 0.000017% chance of success.
How much does the adventure cost? “The Hellfire Trial” is free for all players and consists of a total of 17 battles. You pay neither real money nor gold, allowing you to enjoy the story for free.
What rewards are there? The rewards for the adventure are rather meager – but it’s free.
Currently, you receive a quest for completing the first chapter (i.e., the first 4 battles) that rewards you with 3 card packs. On top of that, completing the entire adventure grants you an exclusive card back that you can only obtain this way.
The true reward, however, is experiencing the rather funny story with the silly rhymes. The developers have put a lot of effort into telling a solid yet quite humorous story and bringing it to life in Hearthstone.
