In the next raid of World of Warcraft, a lot is happening. We will tell you which 12 bosses are lurking in Ny’alotha.
For several hours now, the PTR for World of Warcraft Patch 8.3 is playable. The update “Visions of N’zoth” also includes a new raid that leads players into the dark depths of Ny’alotha, the Sleeping City, and the Heart of the Black Empire. Although the raid is not yet available, much information has already been extracted from the game files. We will tell you which bosses you will have to face.
Small Spoiler Warning: If you do not want to know which enemies appear in the new raid of Patch 8.3 Visions of N’Zoth, you should not read further.
12 Bosses await in Ny’alotha
With a total of 12 bosses, the Ny’alotha raid is one of the larger ones of its kind. The various descriptions from the adventure guide have already been read out, giving us an idea of which bosses can be defeated. Here are the bosses you will encounter:
- Wrathion, the Black Emperor: Furorion is the son of Deathwing and ultimately could not withstand N’Zoth’s corruption.
- Maut: An obsidian statue endowed with the power of the Old God that has devoured numerous prophets.

- The Prophet Skitra: Skitra is one of N’Zoth’s top prophets and is capable of manipulating the minds of his victims until they can no longer distinguish reality from truth.
- Dark Inquisitor Xanesh: When creatures succeed in resisting N’Zoth’s whispers, they come to Xanesh. He tortures the minds of his victims until they succumb to madness. Currently, he is torturing Queen Azshara.
- The Hivemind: Two of N’Zoth’s generals who control many minions. They each try to seize complete control, causing the minions to adjust their strategies.

- Shad’har the Insatiable: A corruption created by N’Zoth that devours everything. He consumes disgusting sludge that keeps him alive but simultaneously causes repulsive mutations.
- Drest’agaht: This servant of N’Zoth has slept long in the Black Empire and is now breaking through the crust of Azeroth to spread her corruption.
- Vexiona: Vexiona is a leader of the Twilight Dragons who lures fallen souls by promising they will be reborn in N’Zoth’s will.
- Ra-den the Despoiled: Once this titanic guardian was imprisoned in the Throne of Thunder, but now he is free and completely under N’Zoth’s control.

- Il’gynoth, Corruption Reborn: After Il’gynoth was defeated in the Emerald Nightmare, he returned to Ny’alotha. Here he has merged with N’Zoth’s surroundings and spreads like a tumor.
- Carapace of N’Zoth: Looking like a gigantic mountain made of flesh, eyes, and tentacles, the body of N’Zoth represents the core and heart of the Black Empire.
- N’Zoth, the Corruptor: The true form of N’Zoth and the actual fight against the Old God. He is the final enemy in this raid.
Will all these bosses die? The game data does not reveal whether all the bosses you fight will actually be defeated. It is quite possible that some characters survive, such as Furorion in the first fight or Azshara, who is currently being tormented by the Inquisitor. Whether these important characters actually die will likely be revealed in a few days or weeks.
