The skins for Sigma, the new hero in Overwatch are finally available. We will show you what you should start saving credits for now.
For almost a week now, Overwatch has been testing its next hero, Sigma, on the PTR. Sigma has sparked a lot of discussions. He was initially hinted at through leaks, and later a conversation about his bare feet emerged, which has disturbed some players significantly.
Now a new version of the PTR is available and has added all Sigma skins to the game that will be released with the hero.
The rare skins of Sigma
The rare (blue) skins are mainly different colored variants of his standard skin. They are just color variations with significant changes in details. However, they only cost 75 credits each.
The epic skins of Sigma
With the epic skins, there has been a bit more change. Here the hero is sometimes hardly recognizable and has been given some cool additional details – or has lost some. They cost 250 credits each.
The “Dr. De Kuiper” skin shows Sigma in elegant gold and without his helmet, and some of the electrical applications on the armor are also gone. This might be one of his “lore outfits”.
Significantly more impressive is the dark Talon skin. Here Sigma not only has shoes, but also wears a helmet that conceals his identity. Those who don’t want bare feet will probably choose this skin.
All legendary skins of Sigma
Lastly, there are the legendary skins of Sigma, which are significantly more expensive (1000 credits per skin) but also visually impressive.
With his psychiatry skin, Sigma carries not only a few wobbly tubes but also bandages on his feet as well as a mask that strongly resembles Hannibal from “The Silence of the Lambs”.
A variant of this is “Patient Sigma”, where the mask is missing. The colors correspond to his space suit, which he wore in his origin story. This is probably the outfit he wore during the accident.
His last two skins are “Oracle” and “Prophet”. These make Sigma blind and turn him into a kind of seer who seemingly can look into the future. On his back, he carries a shimmering energy sphere, while his clothing is oriental or even reminiscent of the Protoss from StarCraft.
What do you think of the Sigma skins? Which one will you use once Sigma goes live?
