The project, developed by Fantastic Pixel Castle (FPC), promises a captivating mix of theme park and sandbox and is being developed for PC. The game has been in development since March 2024. The game is supposed to be inspired by dungeons and raids from WoW while aiming to set new standards in exploration and game world.
The game concept of Ghost
What kind of concept does Ghost have? Players start in a large city and gaze at dozens of islands in the sky, divided into two types: the Red Shards
and the Blue Shards.
- Red Shards: Typical MMORPG areas with quests, bosses, dungeons, and raids. Here, cooperative player experiences take center stage.
- Blue Shards: Areas tied to the players and their group, reminiscent of survival games. Here, players can build, design, and shape their own worlds.
Ghost promises a variety of classes and playable races. Additionally, there will also be an ongoing story.

This phase includes testing and refinements in three specific areas, including the Blue Zones
, classes and combat, as well as the Art Style
and the world of Ghost.
Blue Shards
A key focus lies in experimenting with various approaches to ensure that each Blue Zone
feels different
and fun
for players. Considering player preferences, the team aims to create unique and engaging environments within these zones.
The Blue Shards are crucial to the gaming experience. Here, there is the opportunity to meet up with friends without having to worry about strangers
passing by.
The potential of the Blue Shards
ideally lies in strong replayability, allowing players to explore various maps with variable combinations and unlock new rules that they can apply. Thus, players can influence their own world.
Classes and Combat
The team plans to make progress on classes and combat. The goal is to modernize the MMO space in these dimensions while maintaining familiarity and accessibility for genre veterans.
