The MMORPG Elyon is currently in beta in South Korea. The game is expected to be released in November. It is also confirmed that it will come to the West. However, there is still no timeframe for that.
What is happening with Elyon right now? On July 25, the MMORPG entered beta in Korea and players released various gameplay footage of Elyon. The MMORPG, which was originally announced as A:IR and has since been heavily revamped, makes an interesting and dynamic impression.
The game features a classic fantasy world, action-packed combat without tab-targeting, and 5 different classes that you can level up and equip.
What’s the status of a release? According to the Korean website Inven, Elyon, according to the current plans from Kakao Games, the publisher of Black Desert here in the West, is expected to be released in November in Korea. The game will be Free2Play.
Furthermore, Kakao Games holds the distribution rights for North America, Europe, and Oceania. Elyon is definitely set to be released here. Whether the pricing model will remain the same or switch to Buy2Play is still unknown.
However, a beta is reportedly still planned for us in 2020.
Who is this MMORPG interesting for?
What makes the game stand out? Elyon features a fast-paced and action-oriented combat system. Although there is an open world and plenty of PvE quests, the focus of the MMORPG is clearly on PvP.
The two factions of the game are constantly fighting each other, and the game offers large battles for fortresses that take place in a separate area.
So, if you’re looking for a new PvP MMORPG, you can look forward to Elyon as a new alternative.
Where did problems still lie in the beta? Elyon is developed in Unreal Engine 3, which has often had issues when many players are active simultaneously. This, however, is the case during the RvR battles.
Additionally, Elyon is said to be quite grind-heavy, as is often the case with sandbox games. This is something you either have to enjoy or at least be willing to accept.
Elyon is ranked as one of the 8 most promising MMORPGs in development here on MeinMMO. Are you looking forward to it, or do your hopes lie more with one of the other games?
