The new MMORPG Ashes of Creation has revealed new information about the major update in December. Included is the best feature from Throne and Liberty.
What is this update about? The developers of Ashes of Creation announced the major update for Alpha 2 in a livestream. The current version of the MMORPG is divided into 3 phases. As of October 25, 2024, the game is in the first phase of Alpha 2.
Here, players can try out the MMORPG on weekends and test some initial features. Starting December 20, 2024, the second phase of Alpha 2 will begin. From that point on, players can play 5 days a week. Many new contents will be added to the game, including the best feature from Throne and Liberty.

What have the developers communicated? The developers of Throne and Liberty discussed the upcoming content for the December update of the MMORPG in their livestream. Also mentioned is the so-called Node Siege.
Nodes are the areas developed by players on the world map. Through the progress many players make in an area, this area continues to develop until it grows into a metropolis.
Until then, there is always the possibility of gaining control over the node. One way is through the siege of a node. Almost identical to Throne and Liberty, this is a special event where attackers can break down walls and must conquer key points. In Throne and Liberty, players worked for weeks towards the epic battle. It is considered the highlight of the MMORPG.
However, defenders can also win in Ashes of Creation by capturing the attacker camp. Yet, there is currently limited information available about the siege. The developers emphasize that this system is still not finished, but they want to thoroughly test it under the observation of various developers.
When the update is released in December, all players will have the opportunity to try out the siege, provided they own access to the game, which can currently be purchased for about €105.
What other changes are planned? Many changes to the game world are planned – such as new biomes, improved areas, or player stalls where they can offer goods. New enemies have also been introduced. Now there are giants who hit with heavy clubs or bare hands.
A new race will also be introduced with the update: the dwarves, who are called Dünir in Ashes of Creation. They bring their own dungeon “Fallen Forge,” which leads underground.
In addition to balance changes in almost every area, there will also be a new system where you can go treasure hunting. You will need to craft various treasure maps that lead you to locations where you must dig for treasures with the right tools.
The next alpha version will also likely bring along many new features and content, as well as some bugs. However, those who exploit game errors for their advantage should be warned.
