A new team has only recently been formed in League of Legends around the Twitch streamer Nemesis. However, this does not stop the players from participating in the next EM.
Who is Nemesis? The midlaner from Slovenia, Nemesis, has been active in the professional scene of League of Legends since 2014. With Fnatic, he was able to achieve 5th to 8th place in the World Championship in 2020. There he played together with the toplaner Bwipo and ADC Rekkles.
In 2025, he played for Los Ratones, the team of Twitch streamer Caedrel, with whom he became European champion twice. Despite some successes, it was not enough to play in the popular European league, the LEC. Los Ratones announced their end on February 12, 2026.
What is the name of the new team? On March 4, 2026, at 21:00, Nemesis publicly revealed the new team in his Livestream on Twitch. Around the same time, a X post was made, introducing the team Witchcraft.
The new team is allowed to participate directly in the EM
Why is Witchcraft allowed to participate in the EM? It is quite unusual for a new team to be invited directly to major tournaments. However, Witchcraft consists of well-known players who have almost all played for Los Ratones.
The toplaner Bwipo was the only member renewed and replaces the Twitch streamer TheBausffs. Bwipo has also been active in the professional scene of LoL for several years, however, he made headlines in 2025 with derogatory comments towards women.
A Reddit user writes that Witchcraft got the spot from Los Ratones (LR) and is allowed to participate in the EM because they played their last tournament, the LEC Versus, during the qualifiers.
Also, on the page liquidpedia.net, Witchcraft is listed as one of the two teams that received a direct invitation. The other team is Karmine Corp Blue, which also participated in the LEC Versus.

Everyone except Bwipo has already played together in Los Ratones. So it seems that the players already know each other well.
