Why was this name chosen? At a press conference, the executive producer of Valorant, Anna Donlon, was asked about 2XKO. It turned out that the game’s title is deliberately unrelated to League of Legends because other characters from the Riot Games universe might also appear in the game.
When asked if she could imagine Valorant agents coming to the game, she replied, “I wouldn’t rule it out. We want to see how 2XKO performs. I’m really looking forward to the game reaching players now. I don’t think we have immediate plans to unite these two worlds.”
She further said, “If that’s what the members of this community want, we will be ready for that. That’s a good question. We have definitely thought about it. There’s a scenario where it could happen.”
