At the Ubisoft Forward, the new shooter Hyper Scape was also showcased. It comes with a Hollywood-quality story – and starts its Open Beta today.
This is Hyper Scape: Hyper Scape is a fast-paced, new battle royale shooter. Here you land in the city of Neo Arcadia, where you must fight for victory. It sounds familiar at first – but Hyper Scape has some unusual elements.
This includes primarily the significant influence of the Twitch chat on the game. Viewers can trigger various events, such as “infinite ammunition” or revealing specific players on the map.
At the Ubisoft Forward, the developers explained that they want to make Hyper Scape a “spectacle” in which players always have to adapt to new situations. And the new story trailer looks like a spectacle too:
The “Hyper Scape” is in the game a kind of “new internet” of the year 2054, in which half-life takes place – and it hides a dark secret. It sounds a bit like Hollywood, like the movie “Ready Player One.”
In the Hyper Scape, there is the “Battle Royale” tournament “Crown Rush,” in which anyone “can become someone.” And this is where you also compete. You can expect fast-paced gameplay between the rooftops and within the buildings of the city, which you can also enter. A match becomes particularly exciting with the “Hacks” – these are collectible abilities such as teleport.

Hyper Scape: Open Beta starts now – Here’s how you can participate
Here’s how to get into the beta: After having to qualify for the testing phase via Twitch drops following the announcement, you can simply sign up for the Open Beta.
On the Ubisoft homepage, you can sign up via this link (via Ubisoft). The game is free; you can spend money on the Battle Pass.
This is what to expect in the beta: In the beta, you can participate in four game modes. The Squad Crown Hunt is complemented by the Solo Crown Hunt. There, everyone fights against everyone. Additionally, there are two squad game modes that are only available for a short period: Hack Races and Turbo Mode.
Those who have already tested Hyper Scape can look forward to the new weapon “Harpy” and the new hack “Shockwave” in the beta. Additionally, the Twitch extension Crowncast has been enhanced with more features. By the way, you can also progress in the Battle Pass by watching streamers with an active Crowncast.
