The big new event from Overwatch started on February 10 and immediately caused some issues. Now Blizzard is compensating you with generous loot if you played in the first week.
What was the bug? The bug was quickly addressed in the official Overwatch forum. Players increasingly reported that they did not receive rewards for completed daily or weekly challenges in the Battle Pass of Season 1. Additionally, level rewards were not correctly distributed, as user sanek109991 mentioned in the Overwatch forum.
Who will be compensated by Blizzard? In a post in the forum, Blizzard employee Eric shared some details about the compensation for affected players. According to him, players are eligible for compensation if they completed at least one event challenge in the first week, from February 10 to February 17.
Blizzard gives away legendary loot
What is Blizzard giving away? In the same post by the Blizzard employee, the loot that will be given to you is also described. Affected players will receive the following:
- 12 normal loot boxes
- 1 epic loot box
- 1 legendary loot box
- One Sojourn and Emre voice line
- 2 common titles
- 1 weapon charm
- 1 Emre name card
When will you receive the loot? Blizzard states that due to the quantity of rewards, it may take a few days for the loot to appear in your inventory. So please have a little patience before you ask where your gifts are.
Blizzard is also changing one more thing: Some players were unable to switch factions and thus could not level the event pass. As a result, Blizzard decided to reduce the required number of event passes needed for the legendary title of the faction.
To obtain the titles of Strike Commander (Overwatch) and Lupine Imperator (Talon), you now only need to complete 7 instead of 8 event passes. The “Double Agent” challenge has also been reduced from 16 event passes to 14.
