Safe Space instead of Massacre
The new, updated 50vs50 mode of Fortnite, which you can currently play, promises mainly epic battles between two teams of 50. Both teams arrive in their own buses. The final storm zone is already defined in advance. That’s where the big massacre will take place.
But before that, you have 10 minutes to loot the rest of the map. Ideal for gathering resources and practicing your building skills. Because on one hand, you collect resources 75 percent faster, and on the other hand, you are unlikely to encounter opponents who disturb you while harvesting and building.

A Model Example of Teamwork
There are increasing reports online of extraordinary teamwork in the 50vs50 mode. Instead of being selfish and grabbing everything, there are, according to the website “The Verge”, repeatedly commendable examples of teamwork and camaraderie:
- Team members selflessly donate healing items, ammunition, and weapons when a teammate needs them more
- Players bravely throw themselves into the hail of bullets to revive downed comrades
- They use emotes like “Rock Paper Scissors” to agree on who gets a super rare item
- Several players come together to build a huge fortress collaboratively
- They express their thanks with specific dances and emotes for the services rendered
Of course, there are still team-killers and trolls who don’t care about all this, but overall, the 50vs50 mode seems to bring out the good in many players. Thus, the new mode differs greatly from the usual massacre that makes up a Battle Royale round. It’s a new experience for beginners and professionals alike.
