Lost Ark – It’s simply better elsewhere
This is what people thought at the beginning of 2018: We thought Lost Ark would launch this year in South Korea and could be the first real new MMORPG hit in years: a full-feature MMORPG mixed with the ISO look and the action of a hack and slash.
There were also hopes that we might hear something about a port in Europe.
This is how it went in 2018: Lost Ark is certainly the biggest winner of 2018 when it comes to MMORPGs.
The game was enthusiastically received in South Korea, and people are already cheering for the MMORPG in beta . The rush of players is enormous and the reviews are great.
In addition, a port to Russia was announced, and Smilegate apparently intends to bring Lost Ark to Europe and the West. 2018 could not have gone better for Lost Ark.
Conclusion: The great success story of 2018 is still far away for us Europeans. Lost Ark is certainly one of the most interesting games out there. With some effort, it is also possible to play it from Germany already.
When we can play Lost Ark here in Europe without issues in our language is, however, unclear. Many fans hope for 2020.
It is somewhat unfair that the winner of 2018 is precisely the game that most here in Germany can only look at enviously.
