How is the list compiled? Destiny 1 & 2 offer a gigantic collection full of exotic weapons and armor that Guardians can collect over time. However, we only focused on the exotic weapons for our list since they are known for dealing immense damage.
This list is less about how effective they are in actual gameplay, but rather how powerful and dangerous they are according to their lore. So after 10 years of Destiny, I took a look at all the weapons, read their stories, and was astonished at how recklessly we Guardians use these weapons that could often wipe out entire civilizations in seconds.
Wardcliff Coil
What can the weapon do? The Wardcliff Coil fires a volley of rockets at its enemies that can even track them for a short time.
Why is the weapon so dangerous? For many, the Wardcliff Coil is just a heavy rocket launcher that fires many rockets, but according to lore, there is much more behind it. The weapon does not fire just any rockets; it fires strange matter.
While normal matter just impacts, strange matter behaves like a kind of virus. Everything that strange matter touches, or so the theory goes, is transformed into strange matter. In the best case, this results in just an explosion. In the worst case, the affected matter disintegrates and turns into a lump of quarks (building blocks of matter). Simply put, you will be broken down into your components.
What makes this so dangerous is primarily how Guardians handle the weapon. In raids, there was often a moment when a Guardian blew themselves up with this device. In the game, this has no consequences, but if this were reality, entire strike teams would simply disintegrate, or entire planets would cease to exist because everything would be torn apart.
