Which game is it? It is the shooter Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG). You can play it completely for free this weekend, from June 5th to June 8th at 7:00 PM German time.
If you enjoy the shooter, you can then buy it with a 50% discount. You only pay €14.99 instead of the usual €29.99.
PUBG is the most popular game of all time on Steam
This record was set by PUBG: If you look at the Steam Charts, you will see an insane record from PUBG. In January 2018, over 3.2 million people played the shooter simultaneously. A peak that no other game has ever reached on Steam.
Trailing PUBG is another shooter, CS:GO. However, in April 2020, “only” about 1.3 million people played it simultaneously. A significant number, but nowhere near as much as PUBG.

Is it worth testing PUBG? The player counts of PUBG speak for themselves. Even though currently there aren’t 3 million people playing the shooter simultaneously anymore, PUBG remains extremely popular.
In the last 30 days, PUBG was the third most popular game on Steam. It had a peak of over 550,000 concurrent players. You will definitely find enough players in the lobby.
The coronavirus led to a significant boost for PUBG. It was one of the games that benefited the most from the crisis.
A lot is happening in the game as well. For example, bots were added to provide weaker players with a sense of achievement. Additionally, a ranked playlist was introduced that allows you to climb ranks.
By the way, PUBG is not the only game you can now play for free. Another title is Overcooked – This, however, is available in the Epic Games Store.
PUBG is also a top game in the MeinMMO list of the best shooters. There, we also showcase 10 other shooters that are extremely popular and enjoyable. If you’re looking for variety, feel free to check it out.
