Soon with Wrath of the Lich King the next expansion for WoW Classic will be released. WotLK attracts tens of thousands of players and brings back veterans. Among them a name that many of you have surely known for many years.
Who is the player? Thomas Bengtsson “Kungen” Amèdèo was once the most famous player in WoW and was considered the best warrior in the world. With his knowledge of WoW and his class, he astonished even the developers so often and strongly that a card in the TCG was dedicated to him.
The Swede also founded the famous guild Nihilum, which became the first top guild in the world and was able to claim some of the first World-First kills. At times this meant up to 113 days of work, just for one kill.
The guild as well as Kungen gradually withdrew from WoW. Most recently, Kungen streamed Valheim on Twitch in February 2021, but also devoted himself to new MMORPGs like New World and Mortal Online 2.
Now the King, as his name means in German, wants to try his hand at World of Warcraft again with WotLK.

This is what Kungen says now: On Twitter, Kungen mentioned among other things that he is feeling the WoW fever again. He even ordered a new computer. In a tweet from Friday, September 23, Kungen writes:
My new PC will arrive in 2 days. The package is currently being sent to Postnord!! WotLK and stream, let’s go!

It annoys me that I’m not prepared, but in the long run, that’s not a problem. I’m still looking for a good server. Tips and details about the servers are very welcome. I’m not so up to date anymore.
Overall, the warrior king is more active on Twitter again, where he seems to be slowly regaining his comfort. He also engaged with a critical comment on the drama surrounding the e-sports team G2 and its former CEO Ocelote.
When does it start? WotLK Classic will be playable from September 27. Currently, the pre-patch is already running, and Kungen is expected to dare to return to Azeroth starting Sunday, September 25. You can watch on his Twitch channel KungenTV.

Whether the legend will return permanently remains to be seen. Kungen already tried his hand at WoW Classic in 2019, but did not stay long. As he wrote himself on Twitter, several personal and mental issues kept hindering him from his hobbies.
