In Fortnite: Battle Royale the big event at the end of Season 9 is approaching. So is the monster, that is swimming closer to the island from the sea.
Where is the monster now? After the big monster emerged from the iceberg, it devastated a few buildings at Pleasant Park and was later sighted in the sea.
But then it was quiet for a while about the creature and the big robot named “Doggus” was built at Pressure Plant. But now the monster has been sighted again.
It is swimming in circles around the island again and seems to be getting closer. The beast is still not recognizable.

One can only see a fragment of the tower from Polar Peak, which still seems to be hanging somewhere on the creature. Polar Peak was the monster’s prison and when it broke free a few weeks ago, it tore down the castle and probably took a few parts with it.
What is the monster anyway? Aside from the eye that used to peek out from the ice, only footprints of the monster were seen so far. It is referred to as Cattus in the game code, which many fans associate with a cat.
The shape of the eye and the footprints, however, look little like a cat. The same goes for the Doggus robot, although it currently has no head and may have a dog skull on it.
What happens when the monster rises from the sea?
This is how the finale of Season 9 could unfold: A countdown is currently running down, which is expected to end on Saturday, July 20, 2019, at 8 PM. Fans are sure that Cattus will rise from the sea then and meet Doggus for a big showdown.
The battle is expected to unfold like the epic clashes between robots and the Kaiju from the movie Pacific Rim.
The brawl of the two giants is expected to completely change or even destroy the map in one way or another. Then in Season 10, there would finally be a new map, which many Fortnite fans have been slowly wishing for.
What do the fans say about the battle of the monsters? On Reddit, fans are already eagerly discussing what else could happen. Since warning signs have emerged everywhere indicating that in the event of a catastrophe, one should use the sky platforms, it is assumed that the battle of the giants will happen live in the game and that one can either watch from the platforms or directly participate.
A player even has a very special theory: “What if the monster is not evil, but the robot?”
