We at MeinMMO wanted to know from you in a survey which MMORPGs have the best crafting system. We present the results in this ranking.
Crafting plays an important role in many MMORPGs. But we wanted to know which games have the best crafting system. For this, we created a survey with 20 different MMORPGs and the option “Another”.
A total of 2,180 people participated in this survey, where you could vote for up to three games. In total, 2,723 votes were cast.

These professions exist: In World of Warcraft you have the choice of eleven different professions:
- Alchemy – For potions
- Mining – For gathering ores
- Engineering – Crafts firearms and useful gadgets
- Inscription – Creates glyphs
- Jewelry – Creates jewelry
- Herbalism – For gathering herbs
- Skinning – For gathering leather from dead animals
- Leatherworking – Crafts leather armor
- Blacksmithing – Crafts metal weapons and plate armor
- Tailoring – Crafts cloth armor
- Enchanting – Enhances equipment with enchantments
Each character can only have a maximum of two professions at the same time. If you forget a profession, you lose all progress in it. You must decide early on which professions you want to learn.
In addition, there are also secondary professions like fishing and cooking that you can freely learn and level.
How does crafting work? In WoW, crafting has played an important role since the latest expansion Dragonflight. You open your crafting interface, select an appropriate item, and craft it. However, you can use simple materials or higher-quality ones to increase the item level. There are five different levels to choose from.
Through crafting, you can now level your character and produce very rare and powerful items. Even tier sets are now possible. Additionally, your equipment can have certain attributes that strengthen crafting, including ingenuity, which saves materials, or crafting speed to craft faster.

What else does the MMORPG offer? World of Warcraft allows you to explore a huge world with one character and bring it to level 70. A huge amount of content awaits you:

WoW last received the new expansion Dragonflight in November 2022. Later this year, in summer 2024, the next expansion titled The War Within will be launched: WoW: The War Within – All important information regarding Beta, release, hero talents, war hordes, and earthen dwarves.
