Throne and Liberty, the new MMORPG from Korea, briefly introduces its seven classes in videos shortly before the Korea release. These offer you a lot of gameplay and a good impression of the various combat styles.
When is the release? Throne and Liberty launches on December 7, 2023, in Korea and promises surprisingly a lot of content. But we can almost certainly expect a release in Germany in 2024 as well.
Here, the game will be brought to market by Amazon, and they should not take too long, as the Korean and Western versions of the game are meant to run as identically as possible.
What do the videos show? The videos, which have now been uploaded shortly before the release on the Korean channel (via YouTube), each present one of the seven main classes.
These focus on a specific weapon:
- Sword and Shield
- Two-Handed Sword
- Bow
- Crossbow
- Staff
- Dual Daggers
- Staff and Book
The following introduction videos are currently only available in Korean and without official English or German subtitles, but due to the displayed gameplay, you still get a pretty good impression of the individual classes.
Sword and Shield

Among other things, you can see the following techniques in the video:
- Ram your opponents with the shield before you strike
- Use your shield as a sort of boomerang and hit many opponents at once
- Pull your opponents closer with a grappling hook
- Create additional shields for better protection
Two-Handed Sword
What does the video show? The video shows you the combat style with the two-handed sword and seems to introduce some of the usable techniques.
Among other things, you can see the following techniques in the video:
- Dash forward with your two-handed sword and strike your opponents with a powerful thrust
- Hit your opponents with a charged attack from above
- Blast the ground with a mighty blow for area damage
- Use a quick whirl attack to hit all surrounding opponents
Bow
What does the video show? The video shows you the combat style with the bow and seems to introduce some of the usable techniques.
Among other things, you can see the following techniques in the video:
- Block an opponent’s attack and shoot a stronger arrow back
- Bind your opponents with chains on your arrows
- Let many consecutive arrows fly at an opponent
- Focus on one opponent and unleash a giant arrow at him
Crossbow

Among other things, you can see the following techniques in the video:
- Dodge your opponents’ attacks with a skillful roll and then strike
- Let three quick bolts hit an opponent in succession
- Quickly increase the distance to your opponent with a swift step
- Use your crossbow almost like a machine gun, firing a mass of bolts
Staff

- Create a ring of lightning around your character
- Cause area damage with ice and fire
- Freeze your opponents solid
- Summon powerful lightning from the sky that hits your opponents
Dual Daggers

Among other things, you can see the following techniques in the video:
- Strike your opponents with a toxic whirl attack
- Swiftly jump around your opponent and bind him in chains
- Become invisible in the midst of battle and confuse the opponents
- Stab your opponent with quick attacks
Staff and Book
What does the video show? The video shows you the combat style with the staff and book and seems to introduce some of the usable techniques.
Among other things, you can see the following techniques in the video:
- Create a ban circle and inflict continuous damage on all enemies within
- Put your enemies to sleep with a spell
- Shoot a magical beam at the enemies from your book
- Throw fireballs at your enemies
How exactly you use the techniques, what exact effects they have, and what prerequisites must be met, we will only know when the various classes are introduced here in more detail.
