In November 2024, the MMORPG Corepunk was launched. Since then, fans have been waiting for the next big update, which is supposed to bring many of the promised improvements. After months of waiting and a delay, it is finally expected this week.
Which MMORPG is it about? Corepunk is an MMORPG that visually strongly resembles League of Legends. The HUD, perspective, and art style are very reminiscent of League of Legends, even though it is an MMORPG.
Since its release in November 2025 in Early Access, the MMORPG has not brought much new content. Fans have been waiting since release for many improvements, new content, and promised features that could partially be seen in the trailer.
The update was actually supposed to be released in February, but the developers did not meet their own deadline. The week of March 24 is when it should finally happen.

62 pages of innovations
What’s the deal with the 62 pages? On the Corepunk website, the developers introduced the new mega-update that is set to be released in March. They provide detailed information about the new alchemy system, which has been revamped and now offers 30 new runes.
The new PvE/PvEvP island is also presented in detail. Here, players fight against various bosses and optionally also against other players. In each round, there are different bosses that can appear and provide good loot. However, you only have one life; upon death, you lose your entire inventory and your equipment – similar to an extraction shooter.
As rewards, you can expect level 3 artifacts, weapons, and crafting recipes. Thus, the developers are clearly enticing players with strong rewards for high risks. In addition to the two major changes, there are countless smaller ones that add up.
In total, there are 62 pages full of changes when attempting to save the patch notes from the website as a PDF through the browser function. This is primarily due to the developers’ thoroughness in presenting all artworks as well as weapons along with their stats.
As Corepunk is not available on Steam, we do not have a precise insight into the success of the MMORPG. However, on Reddit, you can repeatedly read complaints from waiting users who are eager for the next update. Whether the new rune system, the new game mode, and the many small improvements will be enough to keep players engaged remains to be seen.
The developers have already announced a similarly large expansion after this update, which they themselves describe as the “second half” of their development process. Players of the MMORPG can therefore eagerly await what else will be added. Although the game is still new, MeinMMO editor Karsten Scholz is already worried about its future: Which MMOs will die in 2025? I’m worried about 5 games
