On August 24, the new DLC Stonethorn will be released for the PC version of the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO). A dungeon full of undead awaits you there.
What kind of dungeon is it? Castle Dorn is a mysterious fortress where the enigmatic Lady Dorn has assembled an army. However, cases of missing persons are piling up in the surrounding area, and everything points to the castle’s ruler being involved.
You are to lead an attack on the castle, accompanied by the NPC Gwendis, who should be familiar to ESO story experts from the main game. Your task is to stop Lady Dorn before she can unleash her army on Skyrim.
A Castle Full of Undead
What awaits you in the castle? It is a fortress where the undead dwell. You will encounter living dead everywhere and must fight your way through to reach Lady Dorn. Your opponents include skeletons, zombies, blood servants, and vampiric beasts, as well as even worse creatures.
Boss monsters are also waiting for you:
- A giant Death Dog
- Powerful Vampires
- Vaduroth, the servant of the Daedric Princess Nocturnal, who resurrects fallen vampires in battle
- Lady Dorn
This new adventure fits perfectly into the story around the Black Heart of Skyrim and the Greymoor expansion, which is indeed about undead and vampires.
What rewards await you? The castle holds ancient treasures that you can claim for yourself. This includes the powerful set Talfyg’s Betrayal.
With this armor set, you enhance your magical power. However, the set also makes you weaker against damage from Fire and Fighter’s Guild abilities.
You will also receive the mask set of Lady Dorn, which not only deals damage to your enemies but also weakens them and grants your allies the synergy sanguine explosion.
Special titles and the ability to transform your appearance into a vampire thrall are among the rewards if you master the new dungeon.
When is the dungeon coming? Castle Dorn is one of two new dungeons introduced with the ESO-DLC Stonethorn. This will be released on August 24. The version for Xbox One and PS4 will be available on September 1.
Update 27 of the MMORPG will be released simultaneously with the DLC, but unlike Stonethorn, it will be available for free.
