NCsoft’s Blade & Soul will beautify the old areas on new servers. With improved graphics and enhanced gameplay, the original feeling is set to return.
What is it about? The MMO Blade & Soul aims to bring back the original shine of the game with the new Neo Classic Servers. Everything, however, comes with improvements in graphics and gameplay.
So far, there isn’t much information available about the new servers. But in a first trailer, you will be shown the graphically revamped areas.

What does the trailer show? The trailer doesn’t show much in its nearly 40 seconds. Especially, nothing can be recognized yet from the promised, better gameplay.
However, you will immediately get the comparison of the graphics to the old servers, which were created in Unreal Engine 3 and received an upgrade with Unreal Engine 4.
The brief impressions that the trailer conveys are really very beautiful, and the improved optics are certainly worth seeing.
The new servers not only show more details and more realistic nature in the various areas: especially the change in colors becomes very clear in the short trailer. These are more saturated and intense and give everything a more lively touch.
Players like the new look, but wish for more changes
This is what the players say: In the reactions (via YouTube), players do not deny that the graphical upgrade looks good. However, many comments note that the graphics are not the main problem they wish to change.
For example, user grumpysheep3710 writes: ‘That was very nice, but to attract new players and bring the game back to life, you need to fix all those microtransactions, P2E (pay to everything), and probably all other things about the game that made people leave.’
User xRiizo shares a similar opinion and writes in his comment: ‘I love almost everything about it. The only bad thing is that NCsoft is still in charge, so it will just be the same money-hungry platform again.’
