Originally, Blade & Soul 2 was supposed to be released as a mobile MMORPG. However, NCSoft has now decided to release the online role-playing game for PC.
What is Blade & Soul 2? The MMORPG is the sequel to the 2012 (in Germany 2016) released martial arts MMORPG Blade & Soul. In the continuation, you will explore a vast world consisting of two continents. Each continent is divided into several zones.
In these, you can expect many quests and challenges as well as secrets. If you solve these mysteries, a complete picture of the zone gradually emerges, which brings you the story of this zone. Simply exploring the game world is meant to be an adventure.
Combat is at the center of the player experience. There are no classes. Your weapons determine your playstyle. Martial arts are once again the focus. You will be able to jump very high and even fly, which will be incorporated into the battles. This means you can fight while airborne.
It is even important to switch styles, i.e., weapons, during battles to respond to changing situations. You must rise to mastery in more than just one weapon category.

What is special about the game? PvP plays an important role. You challenge other players to duels or participate in team fights. NCSoft is even already planning large e-sport tournaments for Blade & Soul 2.
Boss fights in dungeons require cooperatively acting groups that must develop tactics together to defeat these bosses. These boss fights are part of international, social challenges. This includes, for example, the world-first kill or that a group is the first to complete a raid.
Blade & Soul 2 is expected to be very large internationally due to these challenges and the PvP.
When will the MMORPG be released? Blade & Soul 2 was supposed to be released in South Korea in May exclusively for mobile devices. However, NCSoft has now decided to also release the MMORPG for PC. This will happen via a special platform called Purple. The Korean release is still planned for May. The international release is scheduled for later this year.
Additionally, a release for consoles is planned, although it has not yet been announced which consoles Blade & Soul 2 will come to or when this release is scheduled. Crossplay between platforms is also expected to be possible.
