What do words like “Mob”, “Inc”, “Tank” or “Pull” mean? In online games, there is a unique language code. We explain it in our Mein-MMO.de glossary.
We often die in online games. Sometimes we die because we walk down an alley with a crossbow ready and don’t see the trolls lying in ambush, ready to send us to the afterlife with a precise blowpipe shot.
Sometimes we die because elf wizards speculate that we will turn a corner, so they can turn us into a grilled chicken with a huge fireball.

And sometimes we get crushed by giant robots, blown to a thousand pieces by blaster shots, or we fall off a cliff into certain death.
But much more often we die in online games because we don’t understand the talk of others.
Pull the named around the corner, but in such a way that the boss doesn’t add, the mage mezzes the caster, the rogue keeps the focus target in stunlock and makes sure you don’t steal aggro from me, let me tank. All clear! Three, two, in – INC!
Ehm, excuse me?
Now, one might have gotten used to the vocabulary of a specific game over time, but what if we start a new online game where the language is completely different from our previous world?
Anyone who fears getting lost in the sometimes Babylonian language confusion, or who has always had a rough idea of what a “Snare” actually is but was never really sure, can look it up in our glossary. There we explain the typical jargon of MMORPG players.
Let us know if you’re missing a special term. Our experts will spare no effort or expense to find out what it’s all about. Except for what a Gnaargh actually is. Nobody knows that!
