The free action MMO Conqueror’s Blade will receive a new season at the end of April. This will start with some new features, including a class and 5 new units.
What does the new season bring? Season 3, titled “Soldiers of Fortune”, brings fresh air to the medieval MMO. You can look forward to the following content:
- The new weapon class War Hammer.
- Five new units, including crossbowmen and a type 5 artillery unit.
- A battle pass with over 100 reward levels, including many cosmetic items.
The update is completely free, with both a free and a paid battle pass available. With the free pass, you can unlock the new class, while the paid pass primarily contains cosmetic rewards.
When does Season 3 start? The new season in Conqueror’s Blade begins on April 21. Before that, the developers will provide more detailed insights into the update’s content, including information about a ranked matchmaking.

What makes Conqueror’s Blade so interesting? The MMO combines RPG and real-time strategy elements. You take on the role of a commander who fights in battle while commanding a unit.
Additionally, there is a very action-packed combat system and many ways to upgrade and customize your character and units.
Moreover, Conqueror’s Blade is continuously being developed. It left beta on June 4, 2019 and launched in September with the first season, which also made changes to the tutorial. Then, on December 19, Season 2 with new units followed. Now, Season 3 is coming in April 2020.
Where are the problems with the game? On Steam, the MMO received 657 reviews in the last 30 days, of which 80% are positive. The discussed combat system and the fair shop, which avoids pay-to-win mechanics, are praised. Overall, however, the reviews are balanced, as there were many negative reviews at launch.
In the last 30 days, criticism has mainly focused on unit balance, with particularly strong cavalry being highlighted. Additionally, matchmaking from level 30 has been addressed. There, you might encounter the most experienced players right away, as there are no strict boundaries from that point.
A solution seems to be the upcoming ranked matchmaking, which could lead to more encounters with evenly matched players. Furthermore, the start of Season 3 would be a good time to implement balance changes. However, there is no information about that yet.
