The last chapter of My Hero Academia sealed the end of the great Shonen-Manga. The big finale will be a life-changing experience not only for fans but also for the manga artist Kohei Horikoshi. Many colleagues congratulate him on the end.
What messages do the manga artists have for him? Many authors of Shonen mangas congratulate on the VIZ page Horikoshi for finishing the manga after 10 years. My Hero Academia started in 2014 and ended on August 5, 2024.
A famous manga artist even reveals what kind of impact My Hero Academia had on him. But also the other messages from the authors touch the heart:
- Gege Akutami (Jujutsu Kaisen): ‘Jujutsu would not exist without My Hero. Congratulations!’
- Takeruo Hokazono (Kaguarbachi): ‘I remember reading the 17th volume in high school. From Mirio to One For All 100%. What a legend!’
- Kouji Miura (Blue Box): ‘Congratulations on the final chapter of My Hero! 10 years of one of the most passionate mangas ever. Well done!’
Even Eiichiro Oda, the manga artist of One Piece, congratulated Horikoshi on the 10 years of My Hero Academia. However, he has a slightly different message for Horikoshi. Oda is happy that the author can finally play his favorite video game.
Almost simultaneously, a new movie of My Hero Academia was released in Japan:
Manga artist of My Hero Academia enjoys playing a mobile game
What is Oda’s message? The creator of One Piece says that Horikoshi can now play as much Pokémon GO as he wants. The author of My Hero Academia is a big fan of the mobile game and has already spent countless hours on it.
In a previous interview, he revealed that he showed his progress in Pokémon GO to the four-year-old son of a friend. He wanted to brag about his gameplay time, as Horikoshi had already collected 45 million Stardust by that time (via Reddit). That is an enormous amount for the game.
As he no longer has to work on the manga, Horikoshi can now collect even more Stardust and catch special Pokémon. With our MeinMMO guide, he would know how to get a lot of Stardust with just one throw.
The personal message from Oda, which stands out from the other messages, shows what a great relationship the two colleagues have. In honor of the end of My Hero Academia, Oda had already published a special sketch directed at Horikoshi: The author of One Piece honors the end of another manga, dedicating a cover to it
