Jason Momoa, the actor of Aquaman, revealed in the summer of 2022 how the ending of Aquaman 2: Lost Kingdom will look.
Since December 21, 2023, Aquaman 2: Lost Kingdom featuring Jason Momoa as the titular hero has been in theaters.
However, with the release of the film, it becomes clear that the lead actor had already revealed how the sequel to the underwater hero will end.

In August 2022, Jason Momoa already revealed first details about the story of the Aquaman sequel. He stated to GQ Magazine:
“Aquaman is the superhero that gets made fun of the most. But it’s fantastic that we can create an awareness of what is happening to our planet. It’s not a story that is told over and over again, but a film about what is happening right now in a fantasy world.”
Furthermore, it was confirmed that the film addresses climate change. The magazine also learned in the interview that there is a scene where Arthur Curry gives a significant speech before the UN, warning of a massive catastrophe.
And that’s how the film Aquaman 2 ends, with a speech before the UN. In this speech, Arthur Curry reveals the existence of Atlantis and concludes his address with an Iron Man reference.

As Screenrant explains, it is very possible that the scene revealed in the interview was not initially planned as an ending in the film at that time.
Because Aquaman 2 underwent several changes during production, as James Wan, the film’s director, revealed.
