Perfect World and the developer studio Gunfire Games have announced the release date of the co-op shooter Remnant: From the Ashes. It will launch this summer.
What is Remnant: From the Ashes? The co-op shooter announced in summer 2018 allows you to explore a post-apocalyptic Earth and other worlds together with two friends. You will uncover the mystery behind the Seed, interdimensional beings that have devastated the Earth. During the journey, you will fight countless enemies in fast-paced shooter battles.
- Every game is different – In the randomly generated worlds, you will encounter new enemies on your dimensional travels. It’s important to find out how to eliminate each of the more than 100 types of monsters. Especially against the 20 bosses, you will need to strategize.
- Story is at the center – You need to discover what the invasion of the Seed is about and find a way to save humanity. Many surprises await you.
- Crafting – During your adventures, you will collect resources and rescue merchants. The merchants will help you create better weapons and equipment from the resources. You will improve over time.
- Teamplay – Together as a team, you will explore four worlds and fight numerous enemies. In a team, you have a better chance of taking on the increasingly dangerous foes.
A shooter for fans of cooperative action
When is the shooter coming? Remnant: From The Ashes will be released on August 20th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
What makes the game special? The co-op shooter features several unique aspects that according to our hands-on report, ensure interesting gameplay:
- You play as a trio. This allows you to focus intensely on the story and utilize teamplay.
- You choose your hero based on character classes like in an MMORPG. Each class has its own advantages and disadvantages.
- You improve your hero not through skills but by crafting and modifying better equipment.
- The worlds are randomly generated. This means every game progresses differently, increasing replay value.
- Using the World Stone, you can decide whether to visit the four worlds alone or join friends.
- PvP is not planned at this time. The focus is on co-op action.
