In the new expansion of The Sims 4, players can start their own business. To make quick money, there is also the option to invest in cryptocurrency. Players have tested how well this works.

What is this cryptocurrency? With the latest expansion, it is possible to invest in SimoCoins. This is a fantasy cryptocurrency in The Sims 4 that could theoretically make your Sim rich.

To get SimoCoins, a Sim must invest 100 Simoleons. Once they have unlocked the ability, they can select “Start Mining SimoCoin” on a computer and farm for the cryptocurrency. This way, your Sim becomes a real crypto-bro.

However, it can happen that your Sim loses their invested money. Whether you make more money than you spent depends on chance. Several players have tested how well the system actually works.

Getting Rich with Cryptocurrency in The Sims

How well does it work? The two YouTubers Simmer C and lilsimsie have tested how quickly one can actually make money thanks to crypto-mining. And indeed, both YouTubers are thrilled by how fast you can get Simoleons with cryptocurrency.

Both content creators earned a lot of money in no time. However, they had to start with the right initial capital because it requires tables, computers, and chairs to get started with mining. Moreover, unforeseen events like a fire can occur if the screens overheat.

Unfortunately, it also takes some time before you have the option available. You must:

• Open a small business
• Reach Level 4 of Renown
• Invest in the SimoCoin perk

Once you meet the conditions, mining will be displayed as an option when clicking on the computer. Then you can get started and hopefully earn a lot of Simoleons.
