The Hollywood Reporter published a video on May 24, 2023, on YouTube where several well-known drama actors share their experiences in the industry. During this, the actors also talked about their fans and how they sometimes cross certain boundaries.
Pedro Pascal recalls a time when many of his fans had a very special photo idea: They wanted to place their thumbs on the actor’s eyes.
Here you can watch the YouTube video where Pedro Pascal shares the story. Between 02:14 and 3:00, the actor talks about his fans:
Pedro Pascal owed this to his role in Game of Thrones. He played the character Oberyn Martell in the series, who met a particularly shocking end in the story.
His head was crushed in a fight. A scene that many fans apparently desperately wanted to recreate in photos with the actor.
Initially, the actor even complied with the fans’ request: “I was so grateful and happy about the popularity of my character in the series that I allowed it, and that in New York! And I remember that I got a little eye infection while doing it.”
Those present then joked that the actor now wears glasses to protect his eyes from the thumbs of his Game of Thrones fans.
