Felix “xQc” Lengyel played at a claw machine in a past stream. This sparked a debate between the viewers and the Twitch streamer.
What was the debate about? The viewers donated to xQc and tagged their donations with messages that were automatically read aloud in the stream by a bot. It was about one side claiming that he was wasting the money he received from the viewers.
The other side supported xQc and believed that he could do whatever he wanted with the money. As the donations rolled in and the chat also participated in the discussion, xQc became increasingly annoyed:
Apparently, I have to pave the damn way to heaven. Apparently, I can’t just create content these days. (…) I always have to make sure that the content is morally and ethically correct.

The donations, accusations, and discussions did not cease, and eventually, xQc had enough; he yelled at his viewers:
I am expected to save the world, support every charity out there, take care of ethical, social, and political issues. I should defeat diseases, beat cancer, entertain the chat, and raise everyone else’s children. I play video games, I do not raise children!

He just wanted to play and create content. But since xQc is now considered an “influencer”, he always has to be careful about what he does. When a viewer mentioned that he shouldn’t care about those who want to cancel him, he said that he does care about having a happy community.
As the biggest streamer on the platform, certainly even more eyes are on him and his mistakes than on smaller streamers.
Some viewers even claimed that he is indeed raising children because he influences them with his content. xQc is, however, certain that he will be criticized anyway, no matter what he streams and how he points it out.
Even if he took measures such as an age restriction or a paywall for his stream and provided plenty of warnings about gambling, he would still be torn apart.
