Lost Ark is currently promoting an MMORPG with a live-action trailer. In the admittedly somewhat silly video, real people are sucked into the game and join the battle with their setups. One even brings his floor lamp.
Under the title “Lost Ark: The Odyssey Continues”, Amazon Games and Smilegate present the first live-action trailer of the MMORPG.
The trailer begins with a young man coming home and sitting at his desk. As he starts Lost Ark, suddenly his entire room shakes. A portal then opens, sucking him and his desk and PC inside.
Together with 4 other players, of whom 3 are also sitting at desks, he flies over the clouds towards the in-game continent Luterra. The player without a desk sits on a chair with a laptop on his lap and a floor lamp next to him.
We see them floating with their setups through various places in the game world Arkesia, buying weapons and launching attacks from the desk. Together, they fight a huge monster as a 5-man raid.
At the end of the video, many more players can be seen, floating at their desks towards a massive wave of monsters. “Join the birthday party,” is displayed at the end. Because Lost Ark will be one year old in February.

Under the video on YouTube there are some comments from players. Many just find the video funny and make sarcastic jokes, while others claim that the creators of the trailer have never played Lost Ark.
