Another streamer has switched from Twitch to Mixer, Microsoft’s competitor: KingGothalion, the largest streamer of Destiny 2. He even has a clear message for his fans.
Who is the streamer? KingGothalion’s channel is currently the largest in the field of Destiny 2, measured by followers.
His channel currently has over one million followers. In the last 7 days, he reached 7356 concurrent viewers and it was watched for over 73,000 hours (as of October 28 at 11:40 AM).
Only the streamer Gladd is being watched longer. Gladd is known for crazy feats like completing raids with only three players and generally strong gameplay that attracts viewers.
Change drives KingGothalion “forward”
This is what he says about the change: The decision to now stream exclusively on Mixer has also been communicated by KingGothalion on Twitter. There he has a short message for his fans:
I believe that a closer collaboration with Xbox and Microsoft not only promotes what we do, but also what has always been somehow important for the channel, which is to be good in gaming.
He mentioned examples such as mentoring aspiring broadcasters, raising money for charitable causes, or events like GuardianCon. The decision came surprisingly easy to him, although he had assessed it to be harder.
What’s next? KingGothalion’s stream will take place on Mixer starting October 29. Then his first official stream will be held. Users will have the opportunity to subscribe for free for a month, just like during the transition of Twitch star Ninja.
