The gameplay mechanics support complex ballistics, wind, weather, and time of day. The use of bait and calls is also possible.

In The Hunter: Call of the Wild, you can go hunting alone, but the game also supports a complex multiplayer mode. Up to eight players can jointly pursue wildlife, coordinating tasks such as tracking and spotting animals more effectively. In addition to the Coop mode, competitive game modes are also planned. An example of the latter includes first kills and trophies of certain difficult-to-find animals that you are to bag before your competitors.
The Hunter: Call of the Wild was released on PC as a budget base version for 29.99 euros, which can then be improved further with paid DLCs. A similar system is expected to be applied on PS4 and Xbox One as well. The Hunter: Call of the Wild will be released in 2017, although the developers at Avalanche Studios (Just Cause) have not yet announced an exact date.
