In Pokémon GO, the Home Event started on Tuesday, November 17. It brings you new Shinies, spawns, egg content, research, and raid bosses.
What kind of event is this? For a few days now, Pokémon GO is compatible with Pokémon Home. A kind of cloud service to store Pokémon or send them to the Nintendo Switch. Shortly after the announcement of compatibility, trainers started complaining about the new prices.
But now there are reasons to be happy, as Niantic is launching the Home Event for all of you.
What does the Home Event bring? All info in the guide
How long does it run? The Home Event started on November 17, 2020, at 08:00 local time. It is active for about a week. The event ends on Monday, November 23, at 22:00.
What is it about? Niantic is celebrating the integration of Pokémon GO into Pokémon Home. You can encounter Shiny Meltan and complete special research tasks.
New spawns: In the wild, you will encounter the following species more frequently:
- Alolan Sandshrew
- Zubat
- Alolan Diglett
- Slowpoke
- Magnemite
- Ditto
- Porygon
- Hoothoot
- Remoraid
- Flurmel
- Lileep
- Anorith
- Waumboll
- Tarnpignon
Changes to 5 km eggs: In the 5 km eggs, you will find new Pokémon that will hatch. These are:
- Nidoran (m and f)
- Slowpoke
- Amonitas
- Kabuto
- Lileep
- Anorith

Additionally, you have the chance to obtain Shiny Slowpoke. So the Shiny hunters are once again in demand at the Home Event. In the following graphic, we show you the Shiny families of the two Pokémon:
As the developers explain, Shiny Meltan will not be catchable after this event. So make sure to act fast.
Which raid bosses are coming? Niantic has already named a few of the new raid bosses. These are Alolan Vulpix, Slowpoke, Magnemite, Sheinux, Praktibalk, and Klikk. Keep in mind that you should definitely trade Praktibalk with other trainers.
What else does the Home Event bring? An exclusive research grants you Mega Energy for Pidgeot, Poké Balls, berries, encounters with Slowpoke and Kaumalat. Additionally, there are special event field researches and a CP boost for Mega Pidgeot during the event.
If you want to give your avatar a new look, you can do so with the new clothing items like a jacket, vest, and shoes for Melmetal.
