The developers of Lost Ark have released a new part of the roadmap for their MMORPG. The game will continue to receive extensive updates in the future.
What’s new in Lost Ark? After a relatively quiet winter for the MMORPG Lost Ark, the developers at Smilegate seem to have decided to roll out the big updates now.
For several months, the team has been releasing larger updates that include balance changes, new areas, and even the new job Lance Master.
What has been announced? The latest announcement is also packed with content that Korean fans can look forward to. This includes:
- A new continent called Yon: The large cities of Yon are all located underground to avoid the harsh weather conditions of the area. They were built by a people called Umar.
- While exploring the continent Yon, players will be able to obtain new powerful equipment.
- New quests for NPCs, with whom one can build a relationship.
- The first “Marine” dungeon. It is not entirely clear whether this is an underwater dungeon.
- New open-world boss and 4 new islands.
- An “Auto-Travel System” when sailing: Players will be able to automatically sail their ships to desired destinations.
- Balance adjustments for armor upgrades. The development of low-level armor will proceed faster.
More precise details about the individual updates will come as their release approaches. This should happen either in the course of May 2019 or in a somewhat more distant future.
What about the West release? While new updates are rolling out in Korea, there is silence in Europe regarding Lost Ark. At the end of 2018, the company Mail.ru announced that they would take over the release of the MMORPG in Russia.
Since then, there has been little new information about how far the preparations for the launch have progressed or what the monetization of Lost Ark in Russia will look like.
