A new egg event surrounding Pokémon from the Kanto region is active in Pokémon GO. We tell you what you need to know.
New Egg Event: Since yesterday, November 14 at 10 PM, a lot has changed in the world of Pokémon GO. Niantic released the event Hatchathon. This gives Trainers the opportunity to hatch special Pokémon from Generation 1 in 2 km eggs.
We show you what you need to know about the new egg event and tell you which Pokémon you can look forward to.
Hatchathon – Everything you need to know
Almost two weeks duration: The new event will run for almost two weeks until November 27. During this time, players can hatch Pokémon from 2 km eggs that can be evolved in Generation 4.
The following Pokémon will hatch from the new 2 km eggs:
- Porygon
- Rhyhorn
- Elekid (can be Shiny)
- Magby (can be Shiny)
- Hoothoot (can be Shiny)
- Togepi (can be Shiny)
- Sneasel
- Budew (can be Shiny)
If more Pokémon from these eggs are confirmed, we will add them to the list.
Only new eggs count: It is important that you can get the Pokémon only from new eggs. All eggs that you have spun since yesterday at 10 PM can contain the event Pokémon. Older eggs do not contain event Pokémon.
Shiny Elekid: A new Shiny is also coming with the event, which can now be hatched for the first time. Shiny Elekid is now available from eggs. Pay close attention to its appearance, because the Shiny form is hard to distinguish!
New boxes in the shop: As with every event, there are boxes available in the in-game shop. They promise discounts on items.
New clothing: In line with the release of the Let’s GO games, you can now dress your avatar in hats of Pikachu and Eevee. They are the title characters of the two games.
