In Destiny 2, the bounty “Wanted: Waveflayer Summoner” is live. Here’s how to kill the new enemy for powerful loot.
Who is the Waveflayer Summoner? The Waveflayer Summoner is an enemy who has escaped from the Prison of Elders. Spider in the Tangled Shore asks you to eliminate him in the weekly bounty “Wanted: Waveflayer Summoner”.
This is the reward: If you complete the bounty, you receive Powerful Gear. This is random loot that drops items above the soft cap of Power Level 500.
Spider brings a bounty every week that has this powerful gear as a reward. However, be aware that there is currently a problem with the powerful loot. It may drop at a too low Power Level.
Location and Mechanic of the Waveflayer Summoner
Here’s how the bounty goes:
Step 1: Go to Spider in the Tangled Shore and buy the bounty “Wanted: Waveflayer Summoner” for five Ghost Fragments. You obtain Ghost Fragments in the Tangled Shore by completing, for example, public events or other bounties from Spider.
You must be at least Power Level 500 to accept the bounty. Recommended Power Level is 540. The bounty expires 7 days after purchase.
Step 2: Now fly to Titan. An adventure mission appears in the Rig, appropriately named “Wanted: Waveflayer Summoner.” It will be displayed on the map. Head there.
Step 3: The adventure leads you into a Lost Sector. Fight through until you encounter the Waveflayer Ogre and a Witch – the Waveflayer Summoner: The Witch has a shield that makes her immune to damage.
The fight against the Waveflayer Summoner: The mechanic involves eliminating the Ogre first, which destroys the shield of the Witch. Then you can deal damage to the Witch. Once the Witch is dead, the mission is complete.

Tips:
- The Waveflayer Ogre is tough. It can take a lot of damage. If you are below the recommended Power Level of 540, you should definitely start the adventure with a fireteam.
- You have no time limit. Take your time, defeat the enemies from a safe distance. If your fireteam dies, you must start over.
- Keep an eye on your surroundings. Exploding Thralls will constantly spawn and sneak up on you.
- To receive the loot, you must still turn in the completed bounty in your inventory.
