The new Hearthstone expansion is full of crazy cards. We show you the craziest card of all: the Shudderwock.
In two days, on April 12, 2018, Hearthstone players can finally get their hands on the 135 new cards from Blizzard’s card game. Some of them already have significant “meme potential”, as they promise to create total chaos on the battlefield, just like Yogg-Saron did back then.
A clear contender for the craziest card is “The Shudderwock” of the Shaman. This legendary minion with a creepy appearance costs a whopping 9 mana and has “only” stats of 6/6. However, it is its Battlecry that turns it into a chaotic monster, as the Battlecry reads: “Repeat all other Battlecries of cards you have played in this game. (Random target selection)”
Most players immediately think of Battlecries like from the Saronite Chain Gang, which creates a copy of itself and brings it to the battlefield, or the Glacier Shard, which freezes another minion.
Endless combinations and repetitions
It gets really crazy only when combining the Shudderwock with the most powerful Battlecries in the game to create an almost endless combo that becomes crazier with each iteration!
With Wrath of the Worldshaker from Kobolds and Catacombs, all other minions can be recalled to your hand. They then only cost 1 mana. Yes, this also applies to the Shudderwock, which can then be played for just 1 mana and can repeat the entire madness.
The combination possibilities are virtually endless. You can draw numerous cards, copy various elemental effects, or even trigger the effect of Azalina Soulthief again. This replaces your hand with a copy of your opponent’s hand. And if they also have a Shudderwock… then the fun starts all over again.
In any case, the Witchwood offers many cool opportunities to create new decks. If you just want to have fun, you should definitely keep an eye on the Shudderwock.
