Pokémon GO has announced the data for the Summer Tour 2019. There will be a GO Fest in Dortmund at the beginning of July.
This was announced: It had already been speculated and now we have the confirmation. A GO Fest will start in Dortmund in July 2019.
In addition to the event in Dortmund, another GO Fest for Chicago and the Asia-Pacific region has also been confirmed.
This was announced about the GO Fest in Dortmund
Niantic says: Overall, there will be 3 GO Fests this summer. This is special because this event has only been held in Chicago until now. The dates for this year are:
- June 13 – 16: Pokémon GO Fest in Chicago
- July 4 – 7: Pokémon GO Fest in Dortmund
- Time and place not yet known: Pokémon GO Fest in the Asia-Pacific region
What is there at the GO Fest? Details about special Pokémon or other bonuses have not yet been provided. However, in the announcement image for the event in Chicago, the missing Pokémon Hippopotas and Hippowdon can be seen.
Additionally, Pachirisu can be seen in the background. This regional Pokémon can only be caught in Russia and the northern part of North America. It will likely also be catchable in Chicago.
Whether these monsters can also be caught in Dortmund remains to be seen. Furthermore, Trasla, Chelast, and Seeper are also visible. None of these three Pokémon are available in Shiny form yet. It is possible that one of them will be released at the events.
In addition to these monsters, another Unown can also be seen, which will likely be exclusive to there as well. This was already the case last year. The entire Whismur family and Gengar can also be seen.
What else was announced? Niantic also confirmed the dates for upcoming Community Days until August. They also made it clear that in the second half of the year, some Safari Zones will also be coming to players. They have not yet revealed where exactly these will take place.
I can’t be there. What should I do? Niantic also announced that you can participate in the events worldwide. You do not have to be on site.
It was already the case last year. There were then global tasks through which Shinies were unlocked.
