Along with the Halloween event in Pokémon GO, players can look forward to another highlight. Gengar will appear in gyms for 3 hours on one day.
While the Halloween event in Pokémon GO is running, Niantic is already announcing the next news. Players will have the chance to encounter the Ghost Pokémon Gengar in raid battles for three hours on one day.
When does the day start? The Gengar Day is on November 3rd and will run from 11 AM to 2 PM German time.
Gengar in every gym: During these three hours, all gyms will be closed for other bosses, and Gengar will take control. Thus, a Gengar raid will take place in every gym for three hours.
The three legendary birds Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos have already had such a day.
Gengar Raid with Shinies
5 free raid passes: Players who spin the photo discs at gyms during the three hours of the event can receive up to five free raid passes. This ensures that every player can take part in Gengar raids.
Shiny Gengar: In connection with the Gengar Day, there will also be the opportunity to catch a Gengar in its shiny form.
Move Psychic: A Gengar from the raids can learn the psychic move Psychic. It is not known whether the move can also be taught via TMs.
Move Lick: Update 26.10 at 19:30: Additionally, Gengar can learn the ghost quick move Lick. This is only possible during the three hours.
Level 4 raid: As YouTuber “PkmnMasterHolly” announced on Twitter, Gengar will be a level 4 raid during the three hours. Gengar can usually be found in level 3 raids. Therefore, it will be difficult to defeat Gengar alone.
Community hoped for other move
Shadow Claw Gengar: The community has long hoped that Gengar could learn its old quick move Shadow Claw again. This is significantly better than its current quick move Frustration. A Gengar Day would be the best opportunity to bring back the old move, according to the community.
Disappointment about move: Now many players are disappointed that Gengar can learn Psychic that day instead of Shadow Claw as wished.
