The endgame of Borderlands 3 is a big unknown. However, the head of Gearbox has hinted at something that should please fans.
The head of Gearbox did not hesitate to chat a bit about Borderlands 3 and its endgame content via Twitter. After all, this is a major point for players who want entertainment even after completing the main story campaign. At first glance, there seems to be no reason to worry.
These endgame contents are planned: In general, the endgame content of Borderlands 3 will be based on what has already been established in the Borderlands series. This means:
- DLC stories (addons)
- Bounty bosses
- Raid bosses
Moreover, there is supposed to be “more”, even though details have not yet been provided.
Content like in Borderlands 2: Most fans will notice that this plan sounds similar to what was already seen in Borderlands 2. There, too, there were a plethora of endgame activities and repeatable missions with tough bosses. This provides a high replay value and ultimately kept players glued to the screen for many hours after the actual completion of the game.
Many weapons motivate: Borderlands 3 also relies on the old concept of seemingly countless weapons. Those who want to find just the right weapon for their play style must tackle certain areas (such as bosses) multiple times. However, it is all the more satisfying when the corresponding weapon finally makes its way into your inventory and upcoming adventures turn into a fireworks display of gigantic damage numbers.
The motto seems to be “Never change a running system” – similar content as in the predecessors, but even more options.
Are you looking forward to Borderlands 3? What endgame content would you expect from the shooter?
