Trailer at E3: We saw two trailers for Anthem at E3. One is about 4-minute gameplay trailer and a cinematic video. But there is a third video that we want to show you here, which should especially appeal to PC gamers.
Exclusive PC Gameplay Reveal Shows Colossus at Work
Nvidia is making a splash: The graphics card manufacturer Nvidia has made an “Exclusive PC Gameplay” reveal for Anthem, showing how good Anthem looks when you max out all the graphics sliders. The video runs on a GTX 1080 Ti, which is one of the strongest graphics cards on the market.
What can be seen? In the video, you see a Colossus at work. This is the “Tank and heavy weapons” class of Anthem. The Colossus will not be able to use a pistol, but he will be the only one with access to the heavy minigun. Prominent in the video are the particle effects and the large damage numbers that can be seen.
How will Anthem look on consoles?
30 FPS on PS4 and Xbox One? Currently, little is known about the technology and system requirements of Anthem. Originally, it was assumed that Anthem would have a 30 FPS lock on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In hindsight, the Anthem developer has backtracked on these statements: It could be that more FPS are possible. Especially on the advanced consoles PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, this could exceed 30 FPS at launch.
PC likely full power: On PC, Anthem will likely have no restrictions on frames per second and be able to go full throttle.
Online, Beta, and Launch: Anthem requires you to be always online. There will likely be a beta, but the exact details for the Anthem beta are not yet known. Anthem is set to launch simultaneously on February 22 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
