The struggling MMO Wild West Online will not launch the planned Free2Play version this month. It has been postponed along with a major update.

Delay of Update and Free2Play Version
Major update coming later: The developers are currently working on a comprehensive update for Wild West Online. The update is intended to address many of the issues currently raised by players. This update was originally supposed to be released in June. However, as the team has now announced, the update is not in a state that they wish to present to players. There is still a bit more to do, which is why the release has been postponed by a whole month. The patch is expected to bring several changes:
- The removal of the McFarlane and Steele factions
- The focus will be on Sheriffs vs. Outlaws as the core gameplay
- The conquest of towns will be revamped
- There will be a more visible crosshair
- You will find more loot
- The rewards will be reworked
- You will find better tutorials to get into the game
Free2Play version postponed. The Free2Play version of Wild West Online, which was also planned for this month, has been postponed. The team states that it will take at least another month before the version is released. The Free2Play version is expected to offer the following:
- It is essentially the same game. However, you can only level up to level 20. After that, there are no further experience points available.
- You will not receive achievements or rewards.
The MMORPG Wild West Online is not performing well among players. There are still allegations of fraud, and player numbers continue to decline according to Steamcharts. The reasons for this are likely the numerous technical issues and lack of content.
