Xbox Insiders will soon be able to test mouse and keyboard support for Xbox One. Microsoft will enable support for the input devices if the developers wish to.
As Microsoft recently announced, members of the Xbox Insider testing program will soon be able to test mouse and keyboard support on Xbox One. Support for the input devices will be added one title at a time as desired by the respective developers. One of the first titles to test mouse and keyboard on the console will be Warframe.
Microsoft allows testing of mouse and keyboard
How will testing be conducted? In the coming weeks, selected members of the Xbox Insider program will be allowed to test mouse and keyboard on Xbox One. Therefore, not all participants in the testing program are eligible for this trial.
Which games will be tested? One of the first games to have mouse and keyboard support activated is Warframe.

Microsoft intends to enable support for the input devices one title at a time, but only if the respective developers also wish it. Nothing will change for all other titles. The mouse and keyboard input is not intended to be enabled by default for the games.
For the feature, they want to work closely with the studios to ensure it is fun, fair, and properly balanced.
Partnership with Razer: As the company announced, most wired or wireless USB keyboards and mice should work on Xbox One. They are collaborating with Razer to provide players with exclusive mice and keyboards.
Further information about the feature, the titles that support mouse and keyboard, and the collaboration with Razer will be provided in the Inside Xbox broadcast on November 10.
Xbox One follows PS4: The competition, PS4, has long supported mouse and keyboard alongside regular controllers, for example, with licensed input devices.
