The water-bender Valby looks like a fun class for many players of The First Descendant, but it might be wise for you to wait to unlock her.
Who is Valby? Valby is one of a total of 14 playable descendants in The First Descendant and is able to liquefy her body through her “Archea-Hydro-Symbiosuit.” She is a damage dealer and attacks using water. Her attacks deal area damage and damage over time.
Why should you maybe wait until August? Nexon has announced that Ultimate Valby will be released in August. Ultimate versions are special variants of descendants that have improved stats and wear unique outfits.
If you currently plan to unlock Valby, it may be wise to wait for the release of Ultimate Valby and get the improved version of the damage dealer directly. Unlocking a new descendant is associated with a lot of grinding.
Also, you can only have a limited number of descendants. So if you have both the normal and Ultimate version of a character, you may be wasting a valuable slot. You can only increase the descendant quota by investing real money.
Is it still worthwhile to unlock Valby directly? That really depends on how sure you are that you will enjoy Valby. If you were able to test the water-bender during a previous beta and liked her then, waiting makes sense.
However, if you’ve never played Valby and can’t yet know if you ultimately like her play style and will enjoy her abilities, then you might want to test the normal version of the damage dealer before investing a lot of time or money into unlocking Ultimate Valby.
August brings more than just Ultimate Valby
What else is coming in August? A new descendant is set to be released in August, which is said to be named “Luna.” Not much is known about the upcoming class yet, but rumors suggest that her abilities will be based on music or acoustics.
An Ultimate descendant that has caused a stir in the community of The First Descendant is the special version of Bunny. Some players believe the skin could bring the developers a pot of gold: Players say: A special skin will make The First Descendant a fortune
