How to farm Kuiper quickly: There are three fast and effective ways to farm Kuiper in The First Descendant. Focus on the following options:
- Abandoned Refinery Unit in Echo Swamp
- Kuiper Mine in Barren Lands
- Valby Run in “The Defense Line: Strategic Outpost of the Vulgus”
In all options, the goal is to defeat enemies quickly and in large numbers to collect Kuiper. The Kuiper Mine is also great if you want to farm XP, as you can defeat many enemies at once.
The Valby Run at the outpost is also a good option, but you will need either Bunny or Valby as Descendants to farm efficiently. Additionally, the method has been nerfed and is more worthwhile if you want to prioritize gold while farming.
The best option for quickly farming Kuiper is the Abandoned Refinery Unit in Echo Swamp. Per run, you can acquire up to 3000-4000 Kuiper here in less than a minute – if you’re fast.
If you farm a lot and have a large collection of modules that you own in duplicates and triplicates, feel free to dismantle some of them. You will then receive a certain amount of Kuiper credited to you.

What do I need Kuiper for? You need Kuiper shards to improve your modules for your weapons and Descendants. Without the currency, you cannot enhance them.
Which Descendants are strong for farming Kuiper? That depends on which farming method you pursue. However, the following Descendants could turn out to be good options:
- Bunny with a strong Bunny Build
- Valby with her powerful CC Build
Besides Descendants, it’s also worth looking at your External Components. These items, which you can socket into your Descendants, come with certain effects that can increase your drop rate when farming Kuiper and gold.
